Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism
In 2016 Sail Croatia founded Green Sail, a non-profit organisation that promotes and supports sustainable tourism in the Croatian nautical industry.

Every passenger is helping Green Sail to:
Develop VEF
Develop a Vessel Environmental Footprint verification system to measure and reduce the environmental impact of nautical tourism.
Spread Awareness
Speak and participate in key industry events to advocate for government policy changes that address the practical challenges of sustainability.
Offer Eco Walk Tours
Offer Eco Walk Tours to Sail Croatia guests and tourists, showing the rich heritage of Split, alongside the environmental challenges arising from tourism.
Coordinate Community Initiatives
Coordinate community initiatives and events such as the Recycling Program at partner marinas and Beach Clean Ups with the support of volunteers and sponsors.
Green Sail Flag initiative
Implement the Green Sail Flag initiative with fellow charter and sailing companies to drive awareness for the protection of the seas and oceans we rely on.

VEF Verified Partner
Our yachts are VEF verified. By investigating our environmental impact, we can minimise our carbon footprint by enhancing our yachts, such as installing solar panels for energy efficiency.

Water Refill Stations
We encourage our customers to reduce their use of single-use plastic bottles by ensuring water refill stations are available on board all our ships.
