Beneteau Oceanis: Ideal For Families Or Small Group Sailing
Our Beneteau Oceanis 41 is a yacht that has been designed for easy sail handling by a couple or even single-handed.
For many people wanting to charter their own yacht, two main factors will always come into play regardless if you’ll be sailing with your family or as a small group of friends & that’s location & yacht type. Of course it’s no surprise that yacht charter in Croatia has always been popular; but demand for good quality yachts and reliable charter agencies have dramatically increased during the last few years. Hiring your own yacht is a great option for families or small groups wanting the freedom to explore the Adriatic independently, without a set itinerary or being restricted to certain ports.
At Sail Croatia Yacht Charters, we are pleased to announce the arrival of ‘Serenity’ – our very own Beneteau Oceanis 41 – a yacht that has been designed for easy sail handling by a couple or even single-handed depending on your sailing ability and confidence. Serenity is a 2015 build Beneteau Oceanis 41; however, it will only be officially commissioned in 2016. Like other Beneteau yachts, Serenity has been carefully designed to appeal to a wide range of boaters and is an ideal option for seasoned sailors, couples and families looking for a modern stand out yacht.
If you are looking to escape as a couple or with a group of friends hiring a yacht is the perfect way to relax, unwind and see the stunning coastline of Croatia.
As with any yacht charter, you will either need a qualified skipper to sail your yacht; however, if you hold a valid skipper license you are more welcome to charter the yacht on your own – providing you with exclusivity for your week on the Adriatic. We can arrange a local skipper who can provide you with additional Croatian knowledge of all the best places to stop and swim as well as using their local contacts to find the best places to moor and the best local restaurants in each area you visit.
Serenity is fitted with an elegance trim level with express pack which provides ‘race boat’ performance but with the comfort and quality of a cruising interior.
The express pack features include:
- Lengthened mast (+1.10m)
- ELVSTRÖM Windward 300+ sails
- German System for mainsail sheet
- Harken pulley systems
- 2 Winches H46.2 STA for spinnaker/code 0
- Dyform rigging
- Dyneema halyards
Serenity features all the creature comforts you can imagine including an easy docking pack compete with bow thruster, chain counter, additional service batteries, hot and cold cockpit shower, bimini, sprayhood, led lighting throughout, interior and exterior sonic hub speakers. Wide B&G multi displays and autopilot look after the charts and controls.
Above deck, the Beneteau Oceanis 41 extends from midship to stern which provides a practical cockpit which give the feel of a much larger yacht. This oversized cockpit is not only the focal point for steering the yacht, but also the ideal location for entertaining and ease of access into the water from the fold down transom – a feature children will especially love! The yacht has an very sturdy feel to it thanks to the maximum beam of 13’9″ (4.20 m) which is at the stern. If you’re sailing with family or a group of friends, the long slatted-wood bench seat across the transom is more than wide enough to seat a large group so all can enjoy steering or just socialising at the same time.
Our Beneteau Oceanis 41 has a more than adequate interior with a 6’7″ (1.89 m) headroom in the aft starboard cabin. The berth is 6’7″ long, by 5’3″ at the head and 4’2″ at the foot (2.00 m x 1.60 m x 1.28 m). It also offers a private entrance to the head with separate shower stall. Towards the bow, the forward cabin has a bed 6’7″ long, 6’2″ wide at the head, and 1’8″ at the foot (2.00 m x 1.88 m x .51 m). When looking aft in the salon, doors open to the two cabins in the yacht’s stern quarters. The table at right can serve as a navigation table or be a cosy nook for drink. The dinette to the left can seat up to six.
If you do happen to have extra berthing space left over in your yacht, you may consider hiring a hostess which will take care of the yacht throughout the week for you – tidying up, washing dishes and preparing meals for your group.
All of our yachts are based in the Split ACI Marina allowing for an easy start and finish point which brings you in and out of the heart of Split. Split’s ACI Marina is conveniently located in the heart of Split, about 20 minutes’ walk from the train and bus station and 45 minutes taxi from the airport.
