My partner and I had a great week on Sail Croatia thanks to Lauren, Mateo and the other crew members. The weather was average but Lauren went above and beyond to maintain morale and organise alternative activities. The crew were very easy-going and friendly and we enjoyed learning about Croatia from them. Our only suggestion is to Sail Croatia directly - we think the itinerary could be improved. The Sail Croatia website states the white water rafting is available on the Split to Dubrovnik tour (which was not the case). We also would have appreciated more time exploring the towns as opposed to spending hours at swim spots.

With Sail Croatia it is really for those aged between 18-28. Anyone above 30 and you feel a little out of place. These days everyone is traveling in groups of 2-6. Gone of the days of solo travellers from my recent sail where there was only 4 of us solo travellers. It does make it a little harder to meet people but I guess at the end of the day it really is a luck of the draw. It definitely is a good experience. Just prepare to be oboard with a bucket load of aussies haha

When they tell sail Croatia is one of the best weeks you’ll experience they aren’t lying!! Met the most amazing people, made the most amazing friends and got to experience some amazing scenery! I’m so grateful for our trip leader Ceili was an absolute legend I felt like she was one of us, she was so helpful, took the time to get to know us all and spent most of her time with us! The crew on the boat were incredible, so friendly, helpful, made sure everyone was happy and also joined us for a good time! So grateful and I couldn’t recommend this enough and I’ll be talking about it for years to come!! I was lucky enough to get the best group of people and best crew. But all I can say is that booking the ensuite boat for navigator is definitely all you’ll need for a week. You’ll have more fun on this boat if you’re solo or with one or two mates. If you’re travelling with a bigger group of friends you should think about selecting a nicer boat.

Was very happy with the room, both the bedroom and bathroom were decently sized and had good facilities. The food on the boat was really great, we were never hungry. The crew were kind and hardworking. I wish we could’ve been informed on our swim spots more. The boat would just depart from them without notice so you might miss out or jump in without realising we were about to leave. I think our tour manager could’ve gave us better suggestions on what to do in town. Sail is a great way to travel and I really enjoyed my week!

I had a great time aboard the Afrodita while being a solo traveler. I met tons of friends and shared great memories. The food and on board entertainment were great, but the bar prices were not competitive at all. Drinks were €10-12 and happy hour was only 10% off. Bell ring shots were also €120 at the start of the trip and usually mostly juice unless you were watching the bartender and telling him to pour more alcohol. When comparing with passengers in other boats, their drinks were only €4 (didn't have to pay for mixers) and bell rings on their boat were only €80. If our boat had cheaper drinks, more drinks would have been purchased on board, but our group was considered fairly tame because people didn't end up buying many drinks on board. More money could have been made by this boat on alcohol, but they were stingy with prices and portions and wondered why they didn't make much money. The trip overall was great, but the bar was their biggest downfall.

Lola our host & the crew were awesome and made us feel very welcome. Lola was very informative and helpful in a range of situations. The rooms were clean and tidy and the daily breakfast and lunch meals were delicious and kept us filled up for big days. The swim stops were beautiful. We had a great time on board the Mali Ante!

Sail Croatia was good. To make it better I would suggest more effort is put into the socialising of everyone on board e.g group drinking games, getting to know people etc. guided by the host. I felt throughout the whole trip I was being asked to pay extra for random aspects such as bus transfers, water ferry’s. I feel like I don’t understand where my almost $2000 went. The crew and guide were amazing but all the hidden extra costs are not explained properly. I feel the initial price should be increased or have a lump sum you can do at the start with card instead of having to try get exact cash for everything. We had a ratio of 19 females to 3 males which is just ridiculous. I feel there should be allocated spots for males and females to have an appropriate dynamic. The people I was with were amazing and did save the trip and I really did enjoy myself but the random hassles all throughout the trip really did not make me want to rebook with sail Croatia again.

The easy answer...YES. However a bit differently... I would recommend going in peak season so the weather doesn't interfere with your itinerary. Be prepared to spend more money than you think! The party cruise is 110% partying every single day...your liver definitely gets a run for its money. Overall your group makes the experience. As a solo traveler I still had the best time and made so many friends/memories!!!!!!!

Our Crew Leader Nikola went above and beyond on so many occasions for not only our boat (Big Blue) but for passengers on other boats. There were two times that some of the girls on the other boats were in a distressful situation from locals or other unrelated tourists. He got them back to the boat safely in a seamless and timely manner, His attentiveness to safety for everyone was incredible. The only fault was we had 3 lounge chairs on the top deck of the boat to share between 25.

Croatia as a country was amazing and beautiful. However, the sail was disappointing. Our representative was not very engaging and for the price you pay, you don’t get a lot for it. Considering you pay prior, the drinks at the bar are expensive and ‘happy hour’ is only 10% off which isn’t worth it. They offered limited water and if you wanted a bottle of water you had to pay. Even when unwell, there is no bottled water that is accessible and you are not able to bring bottles from off the boat. As a couple, we were given two single beds and other groups of friends that requested single beds were in rooms with doubles. Overall, not worth the price you pay and we weren’t very satisfied and actually left the boat early due to being unwell and not being able to access cold water.

Aircon was not working properly and the bedroom fascilities were terrible. No changing of sheets, towels or pillows when we were in a HEAT WAVE and many on board were sick was not good. Whole experience was uncomfortable. Chef also prepared wintery hot meals when we were in a HEAT WAVE. Very disspointed with the experience.

Our boat itself was fantastic, make sure you book the Gradina. Also a huge shout out to the chef who was fantastic. Our lunches and 2 dinners were delicious. My experience was tainted by the make up of the group, but that is the risk you take with group tours. The activities were the highlight though especially the Mljet national park bike ride.

this trip was amazing! its a well oiled machine, the swim spots, the activities, the nightlife. I'm convinced the only way to see the croatian coast fully is by boat. Im really glad i did the VIP navigator on the salve di mare ship, it was clearly the nicest ship. also the perks were great for the VIP, the food was good, the maid service daily, the ship itself was beautiful. the rooms were even more spacious than expected. i didn't realize this was almost an exclusive aussie trip so that was a surprise, i was expecting people from all over the world. luckily most people were nice and whoever was annoyed by me being american i just kept my distance. i did expect more solo travelers but it was actually a lot of couples. or groups of couple friends. i wish the drinks on the boat were a little cheaper to encourage more mingling on the boat, everyone just seemed to be drinking in their rooms to avoid the prices at the bar.

Sail Croatia was fun in general if you like partying everyday. For me was okish, from their social media I expected it to be a lot of swim stops, but in reality it’s very quick morning stop -some of the days then your stuck in port most of the time. They changed our tour around a little bit so we didn’t get to see stari grad. Food quality for price could have been way better, way too much pork/meat and not much flavor, breakfast wasn’t good so I ended up skipping it everyday.. They activities they offer aren’t the best, I think the zip lining was the best but the buggying was not worth the money. The tour guide we had she was very nice but not super informative, but from other people I spoke to seemed we got very lucky with out staff members as other boats girls were getting harassed and bar tabs wrong. Probably wouldn’t sail again unless it was VIP and different cruise type.

“Tuna” itself was really good, the aircon worked and the chef was fantastic. It was quite spacious for an ensuite boat. A few notes on this trip- the Tour guide was very unenthusiastic from check in on day 1. This was in regards to everything from excursions, to pub crawls. The pub crawls were very unorganised and communication overall could have been better. Restaurants for dinner were very average. Although Excursions were fun, they were well overpriced. The breakfast advertised was a buffet with an assortment of sausages/meat, eggs, pastries, cereal, fruit etc. The breakfast provided was continental style with one type of egg, toast, cereal and fruit, which was a bit of a let down.

Swimming in beautifully clear water, making friends with a bunch of amazing people and partying in some of the coolest clubs and locations you’ll find in the world. I had a great time doing Sail Croatia but it’s something I’d only do once. Be prepared to be a shell of yourself when you get off the boat. Four stars because our first tour guide got fired half way through (thankfully because he was completely useless) and because he/the boat tried to scam us into paying for the air conditioning even though it was advertised as being included in the price.

Our tour guide was not involved in the group at all. He did nothing to combine the different groups and so as a solo traveling it was unenjoyable. I feel as though he did the bare minimum, but didn’t even give adequate information. For example, when we went on the buggies there was a 30 mins break where we could have gone swimming but he didn’t mention this to us. So, the whole group missed out and were extremely hot. He never went out of his way to communicate much at all

I enjoyed the Sail Croatia experience, however, do feel that it can be very much luck of the draw when it comes to other boat personnel, which is such a crucial aspect of the week. When there are multiple large groups on each vessel, it can be hard to really get groups interacting all together, especially for solos. The other issue can be around age disparity. Perhaps more transparency over the booking arrangements of each boat could help this.

The advertising for Sail Croatia isn't clear because the Navigator cruise is marketed for ages 18-39 but this blog post from the official website says the cruise is perfect for people under 30: https://www.sail-croatia.com/set-sail/which-ship-type-is-right-for-me-a-navigator-guide Also got food poisoning from the boat so I had to miss an activity I wanted to go to although some activities were overpriced for what they were. For example, the buggying in Korcula cost 60 euros but involved a half an hour break where you just sat around doing nothing. The ziplining involved driving back the way you had just come by boat for 40-60 minutes and then having to wait to be driven all the way back afterwards so it takes up a lot of unnecessary time. Also the bike riding in Mljet is just a bike hire, literally no helmet or anything else so this was expensive for what it was too. On the first day the check in ended up being later (after 12 pm) and we missed the first day swim stop. Refund me.

I had the best week abroad Penelopa with host Caitlin and while I think there are some improvements that need to be made, I still had an amazing time. Caitlin was such a fun, personable and knowledgeable host who was committed to helping us have the best time possible. The boat could do with some improvements, such as the showering facilities and lack of fans in each below deck room, as this made sleeping rather uncomfortable. We also had some changes to our schedule, outside of Caitlin’s control, that were rather disappointing and left us missing out on activities such as kayaking and buggy ing which were all crowd favourites. All in all I had the most amazing week with such a good groups of people who I now call dear friends!

We still had fun on this trip because of the people we met and places we went, but there were a lot of let downs. We sailed on a premier ship and paid extra for the accommodations. In Sail Croatia's mind, this meant we should pay more for everything. Our drinks were 75% more expensive then the other sail croatia boat and the crew squeezed us for money. Designated dinners were to expensive, poor quality restaurants with commish going to the guide. Guide said there was no way to get food in Mljet for under $25 and pushed everyone to pay $25 to eat on the boat (Food in Mljet was $10). Crew was not aware of the upcoming excursion details and refused to provide any day plans until 10am the day of so everyone would be on the ship longer. Guide left me on the side of a road to wait for an excursion van for 20 min because the ship was leaving early. Cruise was for 7 nights, but the last day had no activities or places planned and guide/crew just docked and left us. Rooms were constantly wet.

I’m so lucky that I met such an amazing group of people on this sail Croatia because without them I would’ve been very disappointed. The food served on the boat was almost inedible, most people skipped it and ended up buying their own food. The crew on the boat were quite rude and made no effort to remember dietary requirements which almost resulted in some dire situations with multiple members on the boat. The bar on the boat was pretty much always closed which made it difficult at ports where there were no external bars - everyone had a few early night which isn’t exactly what you picture when you sign up for sail Croatia. Although the bar being closed wasn’t all bad as the drinks were so overpriced hardly anyone could afford them. Another issue with the bar being closed is that you’re not allowed to bring any food or drinks onboard - this is inconvenient when you need something to eat or drink and there is no way to purchase anything on board. Thank god I had a good group!

What a convenient way of getting to see all the amazing islands off the coast of Croatia! The staff work so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. A little costly for the food you get onboard but other than that no problems. It’s not a luxurious experience so don’t go into it thinking it wasn’t clean, fancy or spacious enough. You’re on a party boat island hopping and it was just that. Would recommend!!

We had an amazing trip ! The boat was super clean. The crew ensured that the boat was always spotless. The crew was also very friendly and welcoming. Our guide mila was amazing. She was knowledgeable and went out of her way to give us tours of every place we stopped at. She was kind, funny, and made our trip the best it could be. She was organized without making us feel like we were at school. She brought the group closer. The food on the boat was cooked very well. Everyone enjoyed the food so much. I wrote on my application that I was vegan however on arrival it was not known. It would be better if there was better vegan options for me instead of the regular menu without meat. Some days all I could eat was cucumber and tomato. Also the chef used a lot of oil on my food. The food was cooked well but a load of oil was added all over it at the end. I am not used to this and it was hard to eat. Overall a great trip thanks to mila and the mali ante crew :)

I loved every moment of my week on the Nerezine. I has the best group of people that made me as a solo traveller feel welcomed. The crew were also amazing! I did however feel some of the extra add on were not presented to us, for example the canoeing. There were also some issues below deck in my room that I thought were not up to scratch. These include leaking water from the ceiling, out ensuing door not closing and latching. The toilet was an issue as I couldn't use it properly, but I was able to make do. These issue however did not make my time on the boat bad, for me they are just amenities, the people and places you visit is what matter and makes the trip what it is. As I said before it was one of the best weeks of my life and I have you, Sail Croatia and Ioana and crew to thank for that.

From the moment we stepped on the Salve Di Mare it's fair to say we were very excited on what was to come. The boat was beautiful, clean and the rooms were air-conditioned and classy. Staff were incredibly friendly, led by our guide Julie who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire trip (not to mention great fun)! Food was incredible on the boat, a highlight being dessert for lunch! We had such a good crew with us and everyone was there to soak up the beautiful sun, swim in the crystal clear waters and have a good time. Small feedback would be that the pricier upper deck rooms were smaller than the cheaper rooms below. Needed a bit more time on the islands especially when we didn't go out to party the night before. However, from the moment we took off, we knew we had made the right choice sailing with Sail Croatia. If you have any hesitation, just book with the Salve Di Mare you will not regret it.

I came on Sail Croatia alone which was fine since I met tons of nice new friends on the cruise. My issue was with our guide. He was very unenthusiastic the whole time, made sexist comments, and generally made me feel uncomfortable as a solo passenger by making rude comments. I have good things to say about the boat, the captain, and his crew as the boat was always in good condition, and we safely got everywhere we were going, however the bartender was another story. Although he freepoured the drinks, he was unpredictible in his attitude, sometimes being happy and friendly, and sometimes getting angry with passengers for ordering certain drinks or ordering lots of drinks. This made me feel uncomfortable going to the bar to order drinks. Finally, since the whole crew was male and our guide was male, I felt disadvantaged on the boat as a solo woman, since they were all more friendly with the male passengers. Overall, a more friendly, enthusiastic guide would have improved my experience.
