Swim stops were cancelled due to weather without consulting passengers. Some activities were cancelled either because of equipment malfunction. A better hostess would be good.
- Malcolm , 07/10/2024 06:54, Travelled with Family
Hi Malcolm - thank you for your review. We're glad to hear you found us to be a good company to travel with. For everyone's safety, we were sorry to see that a swim stop wasn't possible due to the unusually poor weather conditions, and we understand this affected your experience. We’re pleased to see that the hostess received all 5-star reviews for your departure. Once again thank you for your feedback.
For the price that you pay which is quite exorbitant I don’t think this experience lives up to the cost or the hype. While the crew and the staff on board as well as the guide are absolutely lovely and the service was great the boat is old, creaky and smelly.. The air-conditioning barely worked and people complained non-stop about the Aircon not working. There were no fans even on deck which are desperately needed to combat the unbearable European summer heat. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations and certainly not to the reviews I’ve seen on site. The boats need full renovations and need to be fully updated in order for them to be able to get a higher rating.

Thank you for your review - we’re pleased to hear that you found our crew, staff, and service to be excellent. However, we regret to learn that the boat did not meet your expectations. We maintain a high rating of 4.7/5 stars for this departure, and our internal reports did not indicate any air-conditioning issues raised by yourself or any other guest. We encourage guests to raise any concerns with our Onboard Rep so we can address them swiftly. For transparency, we provide detailed imagery and information about each of our Explorer ships on our website to help guests make an informed decision about their accommodation. We appreciate your input and comments as we continue to enhance our services.
Some more thought into the details would be recommended. I.e having food that suits the cultures on board/having an option for those that don’t eat fish/seafood for example. Some rooms Air Con didn’t work Some of the decisions and recommendations for activities dinner etc seemed strange and almost like there were “kick backs” or back scratching for certain places vs others. (Some of the organised dinner recommendations weren’t good) Lots/most of the activities that we saw online were not available. The boat owner needs to be much more friendly, less grumpy and controlling. Some of the logistics around swimming stops were obviously just to suit the boat and to be the most fuel/time efficient, which meant we were sometimes docked too early or swimming with boats passing by, not the crystal clear water advertised. Some of the staff were doing the bare minimum. The rep has potential but was barely engaging with the guests above giving a talk each day after lunchtime.
- Levi Smith , 13/08/2024 05:33, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Levi, Thank you for your review about your recent Explorer Cruise, Levi. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't fully meet your expectations, and we truly value the time you took to share your thoughts. I can see we have received high feedback scores from your fellow travellers onboard, so we're sad to see that your experience fell short. The excursions are subject to minimum numbers and are organised by local supplierse in Croatia - we're sorry to hear that you were unable to take part in some of these. With regards to the logisitcs and the itinerary, it is not possible to reserve timeslots in port in Croatia, so our Captains try their best to arrive ahead of other ships to get the best placement for our guests, and also to ensure there is the perfect balance of time spent both on and off of the ship. Thank you for your feedback regarding the swim stops. We certainly do take food preferences and dietary requests onboard - we do ask our customers to let us know in advance if you have preferences and these are passed onto the Chef onboard. After looking into our communication with you, unfortunately we did not receive any preferences with regards to seafood or special requests. Lastly, your comments about the staff have been noted, and we’ll use your feedback to ensure better service across the board. We hope to welcome you in the future. Kind Regards
A number of the excursions were cancelled and there was no replacements or suggestions to do. This was very disappointing as we specifically booked the trip for the excursions. The limited excursions that were offered were very disappointing.
- Kate, 17/06/2024 11:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Kate, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and for providing 5-star ratings for the crew and boat in general, it is appreciated. The excursions offered are through 3rd party providers and changes can occur at any time. We understand that excursions are a significant part of the experience, and we regret any inconvenience caused by their cancellation. It's great to see from your feedback you were able to enjoy other aspects of the cruise.
Bar staff were not experienced Staff could not make cocktails Ran out of many popular drinks Many customers were upgraded at a much cheaper rate than we paid ,very unfair to us Need cushions on lounge chairs
- Stephen, 10/06/2024 19:27,
Thank you for taking the time to review our services and provide us with your feedback! We also appreciate your 4 and 5 star feedback provided via the completed survey at the end of your cruise. Our onboard representatives are at hand and more than happy to assist with providing assistance and anything that may be needed. One only needs to ask! Thank you again and we do hope to see you with us again.
I had a good time but there were minor improvements I think that could be made to make it a great time. 1. When ocean is not great to swim in (Due to heat) offer to get the zodiac boat out and take few ppl to the little islands where we anchor. 2. Variety in breakfast 3. Everyone feels like lunch is v heavy and a lot (could scale back as u feel compelled to eat it 4. Bedroom designs: A) more hooks around the room given the limited space B) additional coat hangers C) ability to order some late night snacks or have them to purchase Lastly i was disappointed that when we got to split the crew had kinda given up it felt. They were disengaged and seemed like they were winding down Thursday night when we still have 2 days.
- Ryan, 21/05/2024 09:27, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Ryan, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear you had a good time. We also appreciate your suggestions which we have already passed onto our Operations team for their review. We are a little disappointed to read your comment regarding the crew as from the feedback we can see that they received an impressive score of 4.94/5. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to welcome you again in the future.
We, as well as other guests, did NOT likethe food at all. Breakfast was good but the lunches were horrible. No fresh vegetables, all vegetables were frozen and mushy. Purées of I’m not sure what we’re always cold. Lasagna was good. A woman who only eats fish got what looked like frozen fish fingers. Basically the food was awful at lunch. The captains dinner was interrupted by Kara allowing the TV in for the rugby game Which followed by yelling and screaming. My husband had words with Klara. We left the dining room. It was ridiculous……chairs turned around toward the tv and we weren’t finished the main course. The partying that followed went on with very loud music and singing until after 1am. I think there were some complaints from other boats. The crew were always smoking at the window of the bar. The swim stops were amazing as were the islands and klara was a very good organizer. Would not recommend at this time.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to review our services and provide us with your further feedback. We are very pleased to hear you have enjoyed the swim stops, destinations that you have visited and that your representative was a very good organiser. We thank you for these kind comments. We also appreciate your comments regarding the food and atmosphere onboard during the rugby game. We are disappointed to hear that you found the food provided was not of the expected high standard. We will be sure to pass these comments to our operations team so improvements can be made. Any big sporting event be it football or rugby brings some excitement all around - we are sorry to hear this was not managed to your liking. Smoking is only permitted at outdoor, designated areas and if one notices anything different, we welcome reporting this to the Onboard Representative. Thank you for joining us and for your feedback.
Unfortunately night one we were stuck in the port due to bad weather. Everyone was left to fend for themselves with little information other than the boat should depart the following morning. Upon returning from dinner several people were still sitting on the boat with no room allocation. There was little to no communication as to when we could take our bags to our allocated rooms. The Sail Croatia representitive disappeared for several hours and it did not start off well. The entire crew energy felt tired and like they just wanted to be somewhere else. Positives from the trip - The food was excellent up until the last day. Things that can be improved to make everyones time better utilised - Each day our Sail Croatia Representitive would give a detailed speach about the port/town we were arriving into and the local things on offer. This was also provided in a WhatsApp message. Google Map links would be beneficial along with pre-booking activies like bikes/scooters. Most tours close 3pm

Hi there! Thank you for your 3-star review. We appreciate all your comments and are really pleased to hear you enjoyed the meals served and the detailed daily speeches, thank you. The safety and wellbeing of all our guests is paramount, and due to bad weather the boat spent the first night in Dubrovnik. This was also communicated by your Onboard Rep. We understand during your week there were extreme weather conditions which is very unfortunate. Upon checking our internal reports, we can confirm that all rooms were allocated before lunch and guests were advised that rooms will be ready by 12:30pm. This was communicated by the Onboard Rep. Please note that the cruise starts at 1pm and the Onboard Rep was onboard to assist. On our Sail Croatia App, which is highlighted in your pre-departure information, it provides map links and location details, which comes in handy during your cruise. This is a great tool to use whilst in Croatia and has many resources. We appreciate your suggestions and welcome all your comments, thank you. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia and we thank you for choosing to travel with us this season.
Booked based on Explorer being best suited for couples, young professionals and 'young at heart' travellers. Didn’t expect at 44, to be the second youngest guest, with the majority being 70s. The boat was fine, the bedroom smelled a bit damp and there were broken fixtures in the bathroom. The crew were great, and very friendly. Disappointed the sundeck bar / bbq area wasn’t used. Also, the ‘€25 bbq’ which was cooked in the oven was a poor offering, and unsurprisingly didn’t go ahead. All in all, I had a great time, but had I have been much younger, would’ve been disappointed with so many older guests.
- Jonathon , 18/09/2023 09:23, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Jonathon, Thank you for your feedback. It's great to know that the crew were friendly and welcoming, however we are disappointed to hear the ages onboard were misaligned with your expectations. Our Explorer cruises are designed to offer a diverse and inclusive experience for travelers of all ages over 15 years. Whilst we do attract a wide range of guests, including young professionals and the 'young at heart' travellers, age demographics can vary from one cruise to another. We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, and we're glad to hear you had a great time onboard. We'll take note of your comments regarding room conditions and food offerings to further enhance our services, and we appreciate your feedback provided for the onboard meals, rating us 4-5 out of 5 stars, thank you. We hope you'll consider cruising with us again in the future.
Felt like a tired routine, not quite the experience I was hoping for. I think it’s too pricey for what we were offered. Ship feels dated compared to the others we saw in dock.
- John, 11/09/2023 06:06, Travelled in a Couple
Hi John, thank you for taking the time to write your review, we appreciate it. We are saddened to hear that this was not the experience you had envisioned. Our Explorer fleet's selection and booking process is customer-driven, allowing you to prioritise your first-choice ship, provided it's available. In the event that your preferred option is unavailable, we'll promptly offer a diverse range of ships that cater to every budget and luxury preference. You can find images and details of these ships on our website for your reference. We are pleased to see from the feedback you provided that you enjoyed other aspects of the cruise, and the issues you mentioned didn't detract from your overall enjoyment. Thank you again for your review and for joining us this season.
The food at lunch should be lighter and healthier.; not pasta and risotto. Sandwiches, salads, roasted vegetables, wraps, would be better. We don’t need dessert. Coffee needs to be out during the morning for longer that one hour. Keep coffee out until 11:00 AM. Happy Hour from 6-7. Drinks at bar poor quality. Quality of cabin was not great. I wasn’t expecting much, but the handle was off my drawer in the bathroom & bed and pillow VERY uncomfortable. I DID enjoy my trip as there was more to enjoy than these things and had a great time. Thank you.
- Sarah, 11/09/2023 03:17, Travelled Solo
Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your time on the cruise and Croatia as a whole. We are disheartened to hear of the issues raised. All cruises include 3-course lunches which is usually a starter, main and dessert - I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the lunches served, our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce. Upon viewing the feedback you provided, we are happy to know you enjoyed the Captain's Dinner and other aspects of your cruise. We are disappointed to read about the drawer handle and pillow - we have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise onboard, which is outlined in your pre-departure information and following this process ensures that no incident is left unreported. Had we been made aware, we would have resolved this immediately for you. We understand that coffee is important to some, so we provide filtered coffee which is available during breakfast hours and complimentary instant coffee is also available during the day. You also have the option of capsual coffee payable via your bar tab. We appreciate your comments and are thrilled to know that the issues raised didn't deter from your overall enjoyment onboard.
Loves the boat and the crew and our host, Ivanna, was amazing, however food overall, cabin service change over, and upfrontness about our cabin, specifically, could be much improved. Pleasantly surprised at breakfast as more options than we were expecting, however, lunch service was very hit or miss. More vegetables at each meal, ability to know what the meal was ahead of time, in order to decide if we wanted to partake, as well as more snack options available through swim stops. Advised to not bring food on board but ledt hungry with no options until port. Enjoyed captains dinner but wished it had been during a different port that had limited dining. Stari Grad had great options we wanted to enjoy but due to planned dinner, missed, while other ports, such as Pomena, had very limited options. As for cabin, size, privacy, ensuite bathroom, and bed were great, but dealt with such heavy fumes with no way to air out and then had terrible pipe issue that could be proactively managed.
- Britney, 14/08/2023 10:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Britney, thank you for your review. We greatly appreciate your positive feedback about the boat, cabin, crew, and Ivanna, our wonderful host. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your daily breakfasts, and upon checking our internal records, I can see that the fumes issue was resolved promptly after following our resolution process - thank you for following this process. We are also pleased to acknowledge your valuable feedback on our food service, Captain's Dinner and cabin experience. Your suggestions about meal options, and snack availability are noted, and we'll consider these for future improvements. The location of the Captain's dinner can vary as there are a number of factors that contribute to the location however, you will always be updated by your Onboard Representative once the location is confirmed. Your insights are important to us, and we're committed to enhancing your overall experience. We hope to welcome you back aboard in the future, providing you with an even more enjoyable journey.
Our trip on Tempera was memorable for the lovely port schedule & tasty, well prepared meals. But since I have been asked to answer "what would I have changed to improve the product", here goes: Pre-departure information regarding the trip was patchy & very generic, including changing our boat (which we readily agreed to, without realising the trip would be accomodating such a young client profile) Some sailing times were very early in the morning, which meant no chance of getting a lie-in. There was quite a lot of hovering outside ports, so whilst not sailing, not able to sight-see either. Breakfast time could have been extended, especially on the days when we weren't in port until mid-afternoon, to enable a more leisurely start to the day. It was quite damp in our cabin, & noisy at night, with lots of smoking. Despite all of the above, we really did enjoy ourselves. Ioana, our guide, was enthusiastic & communicated very well. All staff worked tirelessly, especially catering: thanks.
- Janet, 27/06/2023 07:14, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Janet, Thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide us with your further feedback. We are pleased to read you thought your cruise itinerary was brilliant and you enjoyed the islands that you visited. Your suggestions for improvements to our pre-departure documents are very much welcome and have been passed on to our Marketing team. Thank you for your comments on sailing times, breakfast time and your accommodation onboard. It is great that these didn't detract from your experience onboard and you have truly enjoyed yourselves. Wonderful to hear your representative Ioana took good care of you and that the meals prepared by the outstanding chef were to your liking. Thank you again and do come back soon!
I felt that the prices for alcohol onboard were very expensive . The organizational skills of our host were non existent . We had to constantly ask for information and many times ( especially when on excursions) we were left trying to organise ourselves and sort out transportation issues !
- Arlene, 27/06/2023 04:54, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write your review Arlene. After reviewing customer feedback, it's great to see you enjoyed some aspects of your cruise; Captain's Dinner, cabin, boat in general and the onboard crew, to name a few. We are pleased to inform you that our internal reporting shows that the majority of guests on your ship provided five-star feedback for the cruise and the service provided by our onboard Rep. However, we are disappointed to learn that your experience did not align with the rest of the group's positive feedback and this will be passed on. We hope to welcome you back to show the improvements made.
Much of the trip was fantastic but there are some changes that could improve the experience The food could be better and diners should be told what they are having beforehand. The captain never came to the captains dinner, and although he maneuvered the boat with great skill, he did not interact with passengers at all, even when there were difficulties. Many people had rooms and bathrooms that reeked of sewage. The bar prices were fair, but one of the bartender was completely unskilled and clearly unhappy with his job. The pours were so small we often had to go back or complain. Vishko was very friendly and interacted with the passengers well. The excursions were fun and well timed. The greatest fun was meeting and socializing with others from around the globe. They made the trip fantastic.
- Catherine , 20/06/2023 21:35, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Catherine, thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide us with further feedback on your cruise. We are so pleased that your cruise was fantastic, we were happy to have you join us for the week in Croatia. I will be sure to pass your kind words and comments onto Vishko, thank you for this. Your feedback is very important to us and the points raised will be passed over to the relevant departments where improvements will be made where possible. Thanks again for joining us this season!
Let me first start with value of the trip, for what we paid for I expected more. 1. The food. Breakfast was very simple and it felt that the continental breakfast of scramble eggs, mixed vegetables, cheeses, some fruits, and cereal for 7 days was very mundane. Lunch a 3 course meal with puréed vegetables made me think I was eating baby food. The cruise team was very nice and pleasant, however the person in charge of keeping us informed of the days event, needed to have the ability to keep the passengers interacting with each others. Like a cruise director would. Many times I felt, we needed to mingle with the other passengers to get to know each others, verses having interactive things directed by the cruise organizer. I feel this would cause a good bond between the passengers and allowed a more interactive trip. The only two times this happened was when we all went to a club together and the BBQ. On the captains dinner it would have been nice if the captain visit each table.
- Doug, 07/06/2023 06:15, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Doug, Thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide us with your feedback on your Explorer cruise with us this season. We are so happy to read you found the team on board nice and very pleasant, this is wonderful to read. Please be assured your feedback is well received and very important to us at Sail Croatia as it is only with such feedback we can improve our experience for guests, where possible. Your comments and suggestions have been passed onto each of the relevant departments and we are very grateful for this. Space on board and in our kitchen is very limited, so we do try our best to provide a selection of meals to suit everyone and catering to dietary requirements, however this can be difficult with such a small amount of space. We wish to thank you for joining us this season!
We travelled as 4 singles and all had our own room. One of the room had a disgusting sewerage smell the entire trip. They do not have a maintenance person on the boat. The BBQ meal at €25 was disappointing. The dining room has plastic tables and chairs and is set up like a school event rather than a cruise. Unlike other boats that we could see, you are not allowed to eat outside.
- Therese, 29/05/2023 02:55, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Therese, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. At times if there is bad weather, smell can occur in the bathroom emitting from the shower drains. This is due to the movement of the ships on the water whereby this movement opens up airflow at the back of the pipe and into the bathroom. This is addressed in the Welcome Speech by the Sail Croatia Representative on board. Your points raised regarding BBQ and decor have been noted and this will be communicated with the relevant teams so we can make improvements where possible. Your feedback is very important to us, so we appreciate this and wish to thank you.
Better cleaning, more friendly, variety with the food, in rainy days have some entertaining even border games or something, the cruise itself is not cheap and of top of that we have to pay more more, a lot of my travellers wee really dissatisfied!!! Never ever will Travel again with you guys I will not recommended neither to my friends!!!!
- Marta, 22/05/2023 14:29, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Marta, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. I am very sorry to hear you felt this way about your experience. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the weather, so it is a shame that you did not have the best weather during your time with us. Overall for your departure I can see most guests that joined the cruise have said in feedback that they would recommend us, so I am sorry to hear this is not the case for you. Thank you for joining us Marta and for taking the time to review your experience.
Overall the experience was a 5. Croatia is amazing, the different stops provided a more enjoyable experience, each one having its own unique atmosphere. The ship was nice, fellow passengers were great! again making for a great experience. Our room was great but many others had issues with various different things noise from generators, and rubbing of ropes etc. ( bring ear plugs) The food was prepared and plated like a nice meal but the flavor and choices were not good. Roasted turkey, polenta (3 times) stew like beef (2 times) , fish, etc all very bland or dry and chewy. Breakfast is always the same breads, scrambled eggs, cooked veggies zucchini, bell pepper, runny yogurt, & some fruit. They ran out of food often even though it ran until 9 am it was often gone early and not replenished. Drinks were ok. Best to get wine or beer. They don’t make traditional drinks very well at all. A mojito was green with unrecognizable sweetener. And somewhat pricy.
- PCali, 22/05/2023 07:16,
Hi there - thank you for your review and for joining us this season in Croatia. We are so pleased to read you had a great experience overall on your cruise with us. We must agree, Croatia really is such a beautiful country to explore and it is wonderful how you enjoyed all the different stops on your itinerary. The points raised in your review have been noted and will be communicated with the correct teams so that we can make improvements where possible. Your feedback and suggestions are very important to us, so we appreciate this and wish to thank you.
A great little cruise totally let down by sales staff, allocations staff and after sales customer service. Information on booking was inaccurate and misleading. After sales customer service lame, defensive and frankly frustrating. Were unable to grasp the gravity of the situation. My separate complaint refers. On a positive Dino the Tour Guide did everything he could on board to offset the frustration and disappointment. Other than that great Tour Guide and Crew - thank you especially Dino and Sime! ❤️. Food service staff friendly but service sometimes slow and haphazard- half serving tables before moving to the next. Room cleanliness good. Food good but ran out of breakfast items - bananas and muesli. Captain didn't engage throughout even on Captains Night. Enjoyable and relevant excursions. Tour schedule altered one day due to inclement weather - saved the day! Perfect!
- Stephanie, 01/05/2023 08:37, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review Stephanie. We are pleased to hear Dino was helpful and available at all times and we will be sure to share your comments with him and Sime. We encourage guests to request more supplies if they run out, and our crew will be more than happy to replenish this. The onboard crew work tirelessly to provide outstanding customer service and we are disappointed to hear that there was some slow meal service at times, thank you for letting us know. We hope you managed to book some of the amazing excursions on offer during your week with us! In regards to the customer service levels provided, we are very disappointed to read this as we pride ourselves on providing an unbeatable customer service experience. Our records show that you did indeed have a request for a front cabin which was correctly noted by our Sales staff. We are aware that unfortunately this request was not met immediately at check-in however our Operations team reacted swiftly and were indeed able to accommodate your request of a front cabin soon after check-in on the first day. You initially decided to stay in your allocated cabin but we were pleased to learn that you decided to relocate during the cruise. Again, we thank you for all your comments.
Sail Croatia has some fine tuning to work on. Food was mediocre and cold at times. Repetitive breakfast and no options for customers. Rooms were amazing. Sime and Dino were amazing. Overall, I will not be a repeat customer which is unfortunate as I was hoping to be.
- Daniela, 01/05/2023 00:51, Travelled with Family
Hi Daniela, thank you for your review. We appreciate your comments regarding Dino and Sime and we will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to them. It's great to know you enjoyed your room onboard the boat, we agree, they are spacious and light. In regards to the food, we have passed your comments on to the Chef via our Operations Manager and we appreciate you highlighting this to us so we can look to improve this aspect of our cruise. Thank you.
The best part of the trip was the company of others who attended the same week, but everything else about the trip that was handled by Sail Croatia was pitiful. Horrible food, poor planning, disgusting cabins, and more than evident cost-cutting. The wifi was nonexistent and no soap, shampoo, or conditioner was provided. The bath towels provided were dirty and disgusting. I signed for a triple occupancy cabin and it ended up being a mattress on the floor. That is unacceptable. The other participants bonded on the boat over Sail Croatia's failings as a cruise liner. If I knew the lack of amenities provided and the poor organizing, I would not attend.
- Kalee, 01/10/2022 18:52, Travelled with Family
Thank you for your review Kalee. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your cabin arrangements and boat in general. I have gone through all the feedback ratings and we were given 4 stars for the 'boat overall'. Our chefs prepare all meals in their small gulleys located onboard the boat, aiming to provide a variety of meals however we understand that this is not always to everyone's taste. Soap, shampoo and conditioning is not included and we advise guests to bring their own onboard to avoid disappointment. Triple cabin consists of a small double bed and single bunk, as advised prior to booking this room type. As they are the same size as a twin share (2 people per cabin) we provide a 10% discount. I understand that you were moved to another cabin free of charge. We hope this was more than suitable. After reviewing the organisation of the cruise by the Onboard Representative, they were rated all 5 stars which includes; destination, organisation and friendliness. We thank you for your review.
1)think that the boats should have paddle boards and canoes like others we saw for swim stops 2) the ability to get to shore when just moored, use the boats that are already on board 3) Food could have more choice and communicating a menu in advance so people can say they don't want would save a lot of waste and in some instances, alternative could be arranged.
- Ian, 22/09/2022 11:41, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Ian - Thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia. We appreciate all your comments. We don't include paddleboards or canoes I'm afraid, however at times past guests may leave their water toys onboard for others to enjoy, or these can be purchased at local markets to enjoy at swim stops. Mooring in to each harbour is reliant on port authorities and when given the go ahead, at times there may be a delay. Our chef aims to provide fresh meals using local produce each day from their small gulleys, and we can of course cater to any dietary requirements you may have. Thank you again.
Breakfast - always a limited time of an hour and if you wanted a sleepin you then missed breakfast, if you weren't going on an excursion you still had to get up extra early to get breakfast. Had to ask for butter and jam every day as there was none laid on table. Breakfast and lunch were very poor on the first few day until many people complained - Breakfast was greatly improved but not so much the lunch. Lunch could be simplified with mixed salads and cold meats, Lighter meals not so much three course. The food took a long time to be served in between courses. Swim stops were not fantastic as we have had before. It just felt like the crew were in automatic mode without great thought to what they were doing. This was a trip I have enjoyed immensely in the past and have raved about to many people who have also then taken the trip. We paid a lot more this year but seem to have gotten less. So disappointed.
- Nicky, 11/07/2022 08:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review. We hope you were able to enjoy Croatia whilst you were there and immerse yourself in the beautiful country and culture. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with some aspects of your cruise. Breakfasts are offered to all guests and the opening times are advised by the Onboard Representative. The chef will always provide more breakfast options upon request. The chef aims to provide fresh meals using local produce, they operate out of a small kitchen and we understand that not all meals are to everyone's taste. We appreciate your comments here and these will be passed on. Lookng at the meal feedback for your week onboard, the average rating was 4 stars. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the swim stops like you had in the past, our captain aims to provide a good balance between land vs sea, mooring up into secluded bays for all guests to enjoy. We do hope that the issues experience didn't detract from your overall enjoyment, as this is certainly not a reflection of the high standards we expect week after week. We hope that you join us again in the future and we thank you again for your review.
Ship and rooms should be more in working order . Items shouldn’t be broken or makeshift . Had to ask for new towels after being told they would be changed. Our bedsheets weren’t even changed out. Never bothered to follow up after having to request. Some of the crew’s excellent service made up for others sub par performance . As a parent, Incident on ship was alarming and could’ve ruined the cruise, had to try hard to trust things would be alright . Swimming spots was occasionally sub par. Consistency in swim locations would have made things excellent.

Hi Rey - thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to review your cruise. Upon checking our reports, I can see that a mid-week cabin service was complete, including bedding and towel change on your boat - I could not see any issues being raised by yourself to your Onboard Representative. If this was missed for any reason, we would hope that guests would highlight this to their Onboard Representative. We understand that there was an incident onboard and our Rep, Captain and crew were on-hand to assist where possible. All swim stops are monitored and a member of staff is always on watch to ensure the safety of guests. Our Captain will chose the best secluded bays, these are in a variety of exclusive locations for your enjoyment. Thank you again for your review.
We had two cabins above deck. One was very nice and quiet, 14 but the twin cabin 19 for our adult children was horrible. It sat right over the engine and was so loud, it was unbearable. It also didn’t have a safe. Overall the week was
- Magi, 04/07/2022 22:10, Travelled with Family
Hi Magi - thank you for taking the time to review our cruise. We are pleased that you enjoyed your quieter cabin and hope that you enjoyed your time overall. However we are disappointed to read that your children's cabin experienced noise issues. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise, and the first step is to discuss with your Onboard Representative, if no action is taken then you are welcome to escalate to the Operations Manager and/or Managing Director. Having checked our internal reports, I cannot see that the noise issues were raised with our Onboard Representative. If they were raised, we would have found an immediate solution to ensure that everyone is happy onboard. We are disappointed we were not given the opportunity to rectify this issue whilst you were onboard. Thank you again for your review and we hope to have you join us in the future.
Two Internet bloggers on board the ship with cameras, and drones constantly filming the activities. No attempt to ask for permission. Constantly had to hide between doors to avoid being on camera. A rather stressful holiday at times.
- Annette, 27/06/2022 13:30, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Annette, thank you for your review. Thank you for also reaching out to us via email. We’re glad that you raised your concerns with the bloggers onboard your ship and requested not to be a part of any content they created. We expect all customers to respect one another onboard our cruises and take into consideration any requests by fellow travellers not to be filmed or photographed when documenting their holiday experience. We hope that action was taken by the guests in question to ensure that no footage of yourself or John was published on social media. Our Onboard Representatives are available on each ship to support guests throughout the week, and mitigate any situations that may arise. If you weren’t satisfied with the action taken by your fellow traveller, we would have hoped you would communicate this with the Onboard Representative so that we could have resolved this issue. I’ve spoken with our Marketing Manager, and all internal photographers and videographers who board our ships to capture content do so in a GDPR compliant manner. Unfortunately Sail Croatia cannot be held responsible for content that is created by guests onboard in a public setting. The issues you have raised with us have been actioned by being reviewed internally as well as with the ICO and ABTA. The learning is that there was no GDPR breach and our feedback system indicates no issues were raised onboard. I am sorry this was not brought to our attention when you were onboard, so we were unable to resolve the issue immediately. We hope that you enjoyed your time regardless and we thank you for your review.
I think to start it would of been nice to of been greeted with a drink once we all got on board. I also think the bedding and towels needed to changed more than once. We had to ask every day for butter with the bread and we’re never given side plates. It would of been nice to have a jug of water on the table with lunch. The stars of breakfast was very poor. Some days the fruit was brown. Ioana who was the sail Croatia Rep was fantastic though and always went above and beyond with her organisational skills, she was an excellent representation for your company.
- Joanne Goodwin, 15/06/2022 05:49, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Joanne, Thank you for your review - this is much appreciated. We're glad to hear that Ioana went above and beyond to provide you with all the information needed onboard the cruise, we will certainly pass your comments on to her. Prior to our guests arrival we complete a thorough cleanse of each cabin and we organise a mid-week bedding/linen change and thorough cabin clean, daily cabin cleaning service and have added the inclusion of beach and bath towels onboard. We appreciate your suggestions of side plates at dinner, and water on the tables, which will be passed on to the Captain. I have had a look through the feedback provided by all guests, mainly regarding the breakfasts and can see that most of the ratings received were 4-5 stars. We understand that meals may not be to everyone's tastes, however encourage requesting alternative options from the chef. We can also provide the option of a cooked breakfast daily which is priced at 40EUR for the week. Thank you again for all your comments and suggestions. We hope that you enjoyed your time with us overall and that the issues mentioned didn't detract from your overall enjoyment in Croatia.
A good basic offering from Sail Croatia. We got to see some beautiful islands. Our host, Iona, was fabulous at pulling everything together. For our group, the food and its presentation was an issue. Breakfasts were of poor quality - we gave feedback and for a couple of days it improved slightly. If you have any food intolerances, I believe this would be an issue for them (I am a vegetarian). Simple things like better quality wine on board, water on the table at meal times, side plates for the bread would all help.
- Anonymous, 13/06/2022 07:33, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there, thank you for your review - we appreciate it. Thank you for your kind comments regarding your host Iona and the beautiful islands - we agree, they are simply stunning! Thank you for your feedback on the meals provided and this will be passed on to the chef. I have also checked the feedback regarding the meals for all other guests onboard the boat, on your departure date, and the ratings provided were all 4-5 stars for breakfast and lunch. We understand that the meals served are not always to each individual taste. We really do appreciate your comments regarding the wine onboard, water on the table at meal times and side plates which will be passed on to our team, thank you.
Explorer/Excursions: was disappointed by the lack of excursions and exploring on the explorer cruise. On board we did a lot of relaxing and cruising so I anticipated action packed land adventures. This trip fell flat. The 1 to 2 excursion I did I really enjoyed. Hora wine tasting (great local place with the sweetest donkeys) and biking in Mljet Meals: I am a pescatarian (no meat, only seafood). I was served seabream-4-5 lunches in a row. I mentioned to the guide I'd like more variety, the next lunch I again received seabream. After that I mentioned to the head crew member I'd like to eat something other than seabream. Then I finally I had a change to tuna. The next meal seabass. The guide also had dietary restrictions and made a huge fuss in front of our entire table when given something she didn't eat. My final meal aboard was back to seabream with a side of peppers; meanwhile the guide had a overwhelming portion of gnocchi and peppers.
- Melissa, 04/10/2021 17:02, Travelled Solo
Hi Melissa, Thank you for your review. It's great to hear you enjoyed the Korcula Village Dinner, Wine Tasting and cycling around Mljet National Park. We agree, these are fantastic excursions and we love the Hora wine (and donkey's) also. It's nice to see from your feedback provided, you enjoyed your breakfasts onboard, rating this 4 stars, although not our usual 5 star service, we are glad you enjoyed the meals served each morning and we appreciate the fact that you would recommend us to others, thank you. Our onboard chef's aim to prepare delicious meals, using fresh, local produce, catering to all tastes, however at times, we understand that this is not always possible. Sea bream is a highly valued species of Adriatic white fish which would have been skill-fully prepared for you, especially as you had advised us of your dietary requirements. In saying this, we are sorry to hear that this became quite repetitive throughout the week. We have mentioned this to the onboard chef so that they are aware. We hope that this aspect didn't deter from your overall experience and we thank you for joining us this summer!
It took visiting another sail croatia ship to learn what we were missing. We were made acutely aware our voyage was the last of the season by the staff and how much they looked forward to commencing their vacation. We found the excursions to be underwhelming, poorly (even ineptly) lead and over valued. The kitchen staff and Maria are great friendly workers. The captain aloof. Boris and his two helpers, the shipboard lovers, should be marooned. Guest alcohol supplies were low or non-existant and the coffee machine is a bad joke. Being tied up to other vessels, where we were warmly welcomed to tour, made us aware the competition offers an elevated experience and of essentially the same cost as SC. BTW, there is signficiant bruisng on my right buttock and lower back from where I slipped on the wet interior stairs and fell. Boris never thought to follow up on if I needed any help (other then giving me a towel to dry the stairs so I could try and help others avoid a similar fate). Hmmmmm!!?
- Steven, 14/10/2019 07:18, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Steven, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed some aspects of your cruise and we thank you for your comments on the kitchen staff and Maria, however we are sorry to hear of your disappointment in some areas. Our extensive range of excursions are our most popular and have received raving reviews so we are disappointed to hear this. Our ships are equipped with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages , if there is a particular beverage you wish to enjoy then the staff can try to source this for you. We have a vigorous process in place for any issues that may arise on our cruises, upon checking, I am unable to locate any reports for the incident which took place. I have also spoken with your representative Boris, and he has advised that a towel was requested at one of your swim stops, as there was water on the floor but there were no incidences of anyone falling on your cruise. We hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia overall, and that the issues onboard didn't detract from this.
Our guide Anna was enthusiastic; warm and helpful. The the other guests were great fun and the islands were nothing short of wonderful Sail Croatia (Cristal) staff did a good job with the food and cleanliness but were not at all friendly or willing to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. This was very disappointing. They did not know our names, smile or ever say hello, and scowled when we asked for something which may have run out or if the coffee was turned off. And the captain only attended the captain’s dinner for ten minutes and did not even say hello. We loved the cruise but for this reason we would be reluctant to recommend this company for fellow travellers. Our only change for the other details was that we would prefer cold lunches such as salads, ham and bread. And we felt it should have finished when we reached Debrovnik as Anna had finished and gone; and it was not nice staying in the port beyond the bridge.
- Jenn, 30/09/2019 14:17, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Jen, Thank you for your review. We appreciate all your comments and suggestions. We are pleased to hear that your guide Anna was professional, welcoming and friendly and that the other guests onboard were a wonderful group of people. We are also really pleased to hear that the meals served and cleanliness of the ship were all to a high standard, and we appreciate your suggestion of having cold lunches on some days. However, we are disappointed to read your comments regarding the crew. We are family owned and each of the ships we work with are also family-owned and operated. Together we make up Sail Croatia. Although our Reps are employed and trained by Sail Croatia, our ships and their captains are in charge of employing their own crew, ensuring their staff maintain a high level of service throughout the cruise and we are sorry to hear this was not the case. Having a look at the feedback for your week onboard, the crew have been rated 4-5 stars which includes the captain, chef, waiter and sailor. I have passed your comments on to our Operations Manager to highlight with the captain. Thank you again for making us aware and we hope to have you onboard one of our cruises again, to provide you with a 5-star experience!
Sail Croatia manager, Boris, was very helpful, informative, friendly, and cordial all week. The Cristal Crew, however, were not. The first thing we were told by them was "We've been working for 19 weeks straight. Don't expect us to serve you before 730am." I understood completely but the delivery left much to be desired. No smiles. Rude tones. One bartender would routinely move you out of her way with her hand instead of saying excuse me. This happened to myself and my wife as well as many others during the tour. This all changed during the last 2 days of the tour as it was approaching tip time and I guess they thought we would forget about the rest of the week? On another note, the hot tub doesn't heat up past 29.5 degrees C. We tried to use it multiple times and were just shrugged off when we asked about the heater. Food on the boat was good. Overall, we had a great time. Excursions were very fun and the islands just gorgeous.
- Mike, 17/09/2019 09:59, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review! We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your time overall onboard Cristal with good food, lovely fellow passengers and some fun excursions. We agree with you there, the islands are simply stunning! Boris is a superstar! He is a prime example of a Sail Croatia Representative Extraordinaire! Providing guests with as much information as possible, so that they enjoy a fun, relaxing and friendly environment - we're really happy to hear he was a welcomed inclusion onboard. We are really disappointed to read of the unprofessional experience with some of the crew and also the hot tub heating issues, these have been highlighted to the Operations Manager to investigate further and we thank you for raising these concerns with us. Thank you again and we hope to have you join us again sometime soon!

Thank you for your review and a great week on board.
We traveled on Crystal for our honeymoon on 7/27.Our host Mia was very hospitable and attentive through out our stay.During our stay on Crystal we enjoyed the swim spots and the spacious layout of the boat.It was a great way to travel about the country. The cruise was advertised as being for "young professionals" however we found ourselves on a boat with the majority of the guests being in their 60's and a family with teenagers, not what we expected nor what we wanted.Bar tending was the most disappointing part of the experience. Both of our servers could pour beer/wine, but that was it.The bar menu listed cocktails, but the 2 employees could only make 4 different drinks (all of which tasted awful).Tatiana would only make an Aperol Spritz, and had a less than welcoming disposition. They both sat on the couch on their phones and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them when we ordered a drink. The trip was lovely but for a honeymoon& price we expected the crew to be more hospitable.
- Rebekah, 15/08/2019 01:58, Travelled with Family
Thank you so much for your review. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your honeymoon with us. We are pleased to hear that your host Mia was very hospitable and attentive during the cruise. It's also nice to know that you enjoyed your accommodation onboard Crystal and found the cabins nice and spacious. The amazing swim stops are just lovely aren't they! We are sorry to read of your disappointment with some aspects which I wish to expand on; our Explorer cruises generally appeal to travellers who feel they fit within our 'young professionals and young at heart' description, however are open to all ages over 15 years as mentioned under our FAQ page. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and we will be looking into further training for the bar staff and will pass your comments on to the Operations Manager to investigate further, thank you. We hope that these issues didn't detract from gorgeous Croatia as a whole. Thank you.
Let me start by saying this was my 3rd trip with Sail Croatia so they do know what they’re doing to keep bringing me back. However, this time was disastrous and much lower quality than I expected: at one of the swim stops the boat left us, the jacuzzi was non-operational for half the trip and cold water for the second half. It was one of the things I was looking forward to is enjoying the jacuzzi on the top deck. The guide and crew only apologized for leaving us in the water and sailing away after an email was sent to the company. They made a good effort by comping the entire bar bill for the week and a bottle of great red wine which was a nice gesture. But not even a hint of apology prior to written communication still left a bad taste in my mouth. This should never have happened. The crew needs to watch their guests in the water very attentively and the guide take responsibility instead of deflecting blame on the passengers themselves.
- Mark, 13/08/2019 22:24, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there and thank you for your review. We value your comments, especially as this is your 3rd cruise experience with Sail Croatia. We're sorry to hear there were issues with the jacuzzi, at times it may not be available due to conditions such as electricity consumption, fresh water usage onboard and weather conditions. Upon checking our internal reports, I can see that your Representative was in constant communication with you regarding the swim stop rules. We advise all our guests that everyone must stay close to the boat, for health and safety reasons, this is also reiterated in our Pre-departure information, our Sail Croatia App and advised during your welcome speech. We are sorry to hear this had happened - upon checking our records, once the swim stop concluded, the sailor called out to all guests to advise the swim stop was over. As you were further away and behind another boat, our sailor didn't see you, nor did you hear the call out, so the boat had departed. After speaking with your representative, Kate was immediately apologetic and offered to reduce your bar tab and provide a free bottle of wine as a gesture. We will pass your comments on to our Operations Manager to ensure that our sailors reiterate the importance of the swim stop rules. Thank you again for all your comments here and we do hope that the issues onboard didn't detract from your overall experience.
Food on board was average at best, some days great some days terrible. Breakfast needs a rethink and an upgrade to the coffee machine is required. Maybe brunch rather than breakfast and lunch given we all go for dinner in the evening. Staff were great and the boat was brilliant. Menu card and restaurant recommendations at the start of the trip would be helpful rather than when we arrive in port. Overall a great experience and one we would recommend to friends and family.
- Ian , 05/08/2019 18:59, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review - we appreciate all your comments. We are pleased to know that you would recommend us to family and friends and that you enjoyed your accommodation and the inclusion of the lovely staff onboard. Our chefs aim to cater to all tastes and at times, we understand that this may not be possible. However, upon request the chef may be able to provide you with more of the foods you enjoy. We appreciate your comments on the coffee machine and this will be passed on to the captain. We find that having breakfasts and lunches included on our cruises, gives our guests just the one meal to budget for and gives guests the opportunity to go out and try the delicious local cuisine for dinner. Our representatives provide guests with all the information for each port daily as we feel our guests enjoy receiving this information just as you are arriving into port. Thank you for choosing to sail with us!
- Navigator cruise was advertised for Young Professionals, yet our boat had a vast majority being over 50. Thankfully we (24y/o's) had two other amazing couples to experience it with. I heard the week prior only had 1 couple under 50 (I would of requested a refund if I was them). They need to ensure the weight of ages is reasonable so each generation can experience it their way. - Staff were atrocious. Incredibly rude, dismissive, literally rolled their eyes at all of us when we would enter the salon to get a drink. Had the audacity to leave a tip envelope on our last day (of which we gave nothing). Sail Croatia MUST have involvement in the selection of crew as it knocked 2 stars of our review, easily. - Recommendations for restaurants, bars and the tours offered were way below expectations. Again, this is a cruise for a "Young Professionals", so we want beautiful food, amazing cocktails and awesome experiences. Need to have different recommendations for each cruise type.

Hi there, thank you for your review. I've looked further into the ages of the passengers that were on board Cristal with you and around a third of your fellow travellers were in their thirties or under. The rest of the passengers on board were in their forties, fifties and 4 were in their sixties. Our Explorer cruises are designed for young professional and ‘young at heart’ travellers looking to blend socialising, sightseeing and relaxation with an average age on-board from 25-60. In your review you mentioned Navigator cruises which is a different type of cruise to the one you booked which was an Explorer cruise. Our Navigator cruises are for passengers aged 18 to 35 years old looking to party, socialise and explore Croatia. I have passed your comments onto our Operations Manager with regards to the crew on board Cristal. Thank you for brining this to our attention and for joining us this season :)
We booked an explorer cruise, specifically different to the other cruises for either those wanting to party or those wanting to relax on a retiree/relaxed cruise. What we got was not what was listed on the website. We began noticing a few days prior to our cruise on Instagram that the age on the cruise appeared to be retirees. We contacted sail Croatia two days before our cruise to confirm we had booked the right cruise and we were told that the average was 39 on our cruise with the oldest person being 65 and a few that had not listed their age. We asked how many young couples were on board and were told there was another couple our age and a couple in their 30’s. We then asked the representative if we could change boats to a younger vibe on the premier plus navigator. We were told that was fully booked and not possible and that we would love the boat we were on. We asked again if there was any other option; However if we waited 4 more days we could change to another premier plus boat.
- Byron, 29/06/2019 21:41, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there and thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with the cruise type you booked. There are a couple of points in your review that I just need to clarify for other travellers considering booking with us. Our Explorer cruise offers a balance between sightseeing, relaxation and socialising. This cruise is for those that feel they fit within the category of 'young professionals and young at heart travellers', however, is open to all ages over 15 years. As specified on our website, typically Explorer cruises will have an age range from mid 20s to mid 60s (as a guide). I do recall the phone call and advising that the average ages onboard were from mid 40's to mid 50's, and confirmed that the travellers onboard were between the ages of 27 - 64 years old. Unfortunately we were fully booked across all of our Navigator Cruises on your departure date and couldn't move your booking. So that you had all available options on surrounding dates, I offered the Navigator Return (South) cruise which would've departed on the Wednesday as this was the closest available departure, however didn't hear back from you. We do hope you got to enjoy some aspects of your cruise and hope to experience Croatia with you once again in the future.
The boat and crew were fantastic, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the age group of travellers on board. There were a large number of older travellers when I was hoping to mix and mingle with travellers around the same age in the 20-40 age group. The trip is marked for couples, young professionals, young at heart. Unfortunately there were too many 'young at heart' and couples on board for my liking. I would recommend doing a Navigator cruise instead with a Premier boat. On the plus side our guide Ivana was amazing and we had a Sail Croatia photographer with us for the week (still waiting for the pictures though which are overdue),

Thank you for your review. We’re so glad to hear that overall you had a wonderful time onboard your Explorer Cruise, and that you were well looked after by the crew and your Tour Manager. We’re sorry to hear that the age range onboard didn’t meet your expectations. Our Explorer Cruises are perfect for travellers that wish to explore, socialise and experience Croatia at its finest, and we often find a mix of couples, young professionals and young at heart travellers onboard. Please keep an eye on the Sail Croatia Facebook page, where all images from the 2018 season will be published.
The cruise was amazing. The ship Provedenca was beautiful & the cabins & all areas very comfortable. The. Best part of the Cruise was Anna & her team their level of service was phenomenal and needs to be rewarded. The food was amazing too. The only thing I would maybe recommend is too have some snorkeling masks & fins available, we took ours with and had most of the guests lend ours as they also wanted to snorkel. Apart from that it was amazing and I would recommend sail Croatia to everyone!!!
- Bronwyn, 18/08/2017 06:59, Travelled in a Couple
Good espresso coffee would make a wonderful start to the day and should be on offer when passengers are on board. Refrigerated water or a means of cooling water in hot summer weather would add to customer comfort. A change of cabin linen half way through would be great. Meals were good apart from overcooked vegetables. Stan Law was the best part of our trip - Stan put 119% effort.into his passengers comfort. He was knowledgeable (though sometimes too talkative) and willing to assist in whatever way he could. We were not expecting him to give us a tour of the towns we overnighted in - very helpful as a quick orientation; so please keep it up. All staff were courteous and willing, but I do wonder whether they risk burn out having to work 24/7 for 6 months. Perhaps some time off may between 7 day cruises may circumvent this in the longer term - something management should consider. Valuing your staff goes a long way!

Firstly I\'ve done your cruise 3 times now on various boats and trips and routes. I think you do a great job and everyone has a really good time. There are a few things I\'d like to mention. One is your website, it\'s a little confusing and I say this as I understand your concept and how it works now but it took me a few trips to work it out, and I can tell the passengers didn\'t understand the levels of boats really and there were some younger ones on the young professional cruise who didn\'t know you could go on the premier plus but do the 18-35\'s and I think it\'s a shame as it would have been better for them. They loved it all the same but I know what they are missing. The young professionals has a lot of couples and for me was almost like going on my own as didn\'t want to intrude and couples like to be with other couples so at times I was alone on the young professionals. I also think rather than book all on line till the website is clearer people should call and it should be explained.

Thank you for your feedback - it was great to have you join us for the 3rd time! We are always looking at ways to improve our website and make it as clear as possible so that our guests can find the right cruise for them. To make it easier for guests using our website, under our Navigator cruise for example, we have prices for all our available Navigator boats as well as images of our Navigator boat types which show our boat range, from Standard to Premier Plus. We also have an online cruise assessment which is available to assist our guests in finding the right cruise for them. If a guest is unsure about which cruise to book, we are of course here to assist. We are pleased to hear some of the younger travellers had a good time overall and glad you also had a great time with us. Thank you again for your feedback.
The communication to passengers of last minute changes to the itinerary. Changes were for the worst and not for the better. Some examples of our experience were; docking boat at the same port on consecutive nights & not being able to dock in Hvar. Hvar being a highlight. Not having the opportunity to visit the Blue Caves (aparently due to bad weather & poor choice in schedule change as we had 2 days in the area). It just so happens the same occurred to friends of ours on a previous Sail Croatia cruise. We had a tour leader who was un-enthusiastic most of the time and provided misguided advice at ports, The activities were over priced and not value for money.
- Lisa , 04/09/2016 11:50, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry to hear that you felt the communication to passengers regarding itinerary changes wasn't clear. On some occasions the Captain may change the itinerary due to weather and does this for the safety of passengers. Whilst at the time of docking the weather may seem perfect, this can in fact change drastically within a few hours and the captain will be aware of this hours in advance. In ports such as Hvar where it is quite open and susceptible to rocky seas if a storm strikes the captain may decide to dock at Stari Grad where the port is fully protected. As the boats will be docked for around 12 hours, for the safety of our guests he will decide to dock at the safest port possible that offers the most protection from stormy weather. Customer service is very important to us here at Sail Croatia, and we want to ensure passengers have a positive experience whilst on their cruise, your comments about your Sail Croatia Representative have been passed on to our Operations Manager for further training in this area. We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses and work with local suppliers to provide excursions for our guests that cater to all budgets, we also have the excursion prices listed on our website to help with budgeting prior to the cruise. Thank you again for your review.
Crew was generally great visited some amazing places, although bathroom was mouldy and wet, required better cleaning. WIFI didn't work the whole trip which made it hard to plan activities on the islands. Itinerary was vague at best there was no clear departure times given to us which also made planning your time on the islands difficult.
- James , 08/08/2016 11:32, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for providing feedback on your Explorer Dubrovnik to Split cruise. It's great to know that the crew were great and that you enjoyed the places visited. I'm sorry to hear about your bathroom. We have strict procedures in place for any issues that arise whilst on our cruise and upon checking our reports from last season, I could not find any notification from you to a member of staff regarding this. Had a member of staff been made aware, we would have rectified this immediately. The Wi-Fi onboard is subject to data limits and network coverage whilst at sea, however I have passed your comments onto our Operations Team so they can check if additional upgrades are available. As standard procedure, our crew and/or representative should provide you with arrival and departure times at each destination daily so that you can plan your day - we will investigate what had happened here. Thank you again for your feedback.
1. Friendlier staff - asking for drinks / coffee was not received well by the bar staff 2. Accommodating our needs - we asked for certain alcohol to be brought onto the boat to be sold to us which was completely ignored and declined by the staff which I cannot understand why at all when we would be paying for it? 3. Selling food - we weren't allowed to bring food onto the boat but if you missed breakfast you could then not buy anything and had to wait until lunch?! Not my idea of a holiday 4. No flexibililty - there was no flexibility in terms of if we wanted to spend longer at a swim stop or port. Overall its really hard to ruin a holiday in Croatia but I would not recommend using Sail Croatia to my friends for their future travels sadly.
- Nicholas, 27/07/2016 17:49, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you didn't find the staff friendly, your comments have been passed onto our Operations Team to discuss with the Captain of the ship. The bar is operated by the Captain and it is at his discretion what is sold, I'm sorry they were unable to accommodate you with your drink preferences. With regards to food on-board, Breakfast and a 3-Course Lunch is served every day. I'm afraid food from outside the boat, isn't allowed to be bought on by guests, however I have passed your comments on about having the option to purchase snacks on-board so this can be looked into. With regards to your comments about flexibility, the Captains are on a fixed itinerary, so whilst they try and ensure guests have enough time to swim as well as having enough time in the ports, swim stops may have to be missed or cut short so the ship can reach each destination on time and have space to dock in the ports.
