Marine Maintenance Technician - Split

As a Marine Maintenance Technician at Sail Croatia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and enjoyable experiences of our customers on our fleet of sailing yachts and catamarans. In addition to maintaining and repairing vessels, you will have regular interactions with our guests, providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on vessels, ensuring they are in optimal condition for our guests' enjoyment.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues on sailing yachts and catamarans, addressing any concerns promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Guest Interactions: Engage with our customers in a courteous and helpful manner, providing assistance and information when needed to enhance their onboard experience.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vessels to identify and address any safety or maintenance concerns, prioritizing guest safety and comfort.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring that guest-related needs can be addressed efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, emphasizing their importance to guests. Identify and rectify safety hazards to create a safe environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, and assist guests with any inquiries or requests they may have.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the maintenance team, as well as guest-facing staff, to ensure seamless coordination between maintenance and guest services.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency response situations, including on-call duties as assigned, to address urgent maintenance needs while prioritizing guest safety.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in marine maintenance, preferably with a customer service component.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to marine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and agility to perform tasks in a marine environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in the charter or boating industry with direct guest interactions.
  • Familiarity with specific brands and models of sailing yachts and catamarans in our fleet.
