Britons might be encouraged to book sailing holidays in Croatia after hearing how enjoyable the experience has been
for one enthusiast.Lynne Becker participated in the Croatia Yacht Rally last year, travelling across the Adriatic country with her team. Held each year, the race starts at Sibenik and finishes at Dubrovnik. In 2010, the event will be held in September. In an article for Sail-World.com, Ms Becker described in detail her experiences at the race, sailing to world-famous destinations such as Vis, Hvar, and the 'Venice of Croatia', Korcula. "Dubrovnik is amazing so we extended an extra night to take our time and enjoy this lovely city especially in the evening when the cruise ships leave, the lights come on reflecting in polished paved streets, and the locals relax in the squares, cafes and bars," she wrote on the website. "The balmy temperatures, clear skies and exotic location make a magical mix." ![]() |
