Many British people will be eager to arrange Croatia holidays and other getaways this year following the economic
problems that have affected the country recently. The Office for National Statistics released figures yesterday (January 26th) showing that the UK economy emerged from recession in the final quarter of 2009, with 0.1 per cent growth in gross domestic product. Ian Bradley, a spokesman for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said the positive news could have a beneficial effect on tourism, with people likely to be less cautious about taking a break. He also pointed out that those who have missed out as a result of the recession will be eager to treat themselves to a getaway such as a Croatia sailing holiday. "People who maybe gave up on a foreign holiday last year are very keen to proceed with it this year," Mr Bradley said. Travellers can book Croatia sailing holiday packages that include visits to some of the country's leading destinations, such as Dubrovnik and Split. ![]() |
