There is no better way to see the medieval cities of the Adriatic than on a Croatia sailing
holiday, according to a recent visitor. In a review on Sail-World.com, an Australian traveller points out that the country boasts almost 6,000km of coastline, hundreds of islands and numerous bays and inlets. The writer describes the medieval cities that visitors can see during Croatia sailing holidays as "some of the best preserved in Europe". She adds: "The most attractive way to approach these cities is by boat through the medieval harbours - as the fleets have done throughout history." Other destinations visited by the sailor during her Adriatic cruise include Vis and Lastovo, which she said are now "firm favourites", and arguably the most famous historic city of all, Dubrovnik. Travellers can add some excitement to go with the sightseeing on their Croatia sailing holidays by arranging activities such as mountain biking, scuba diving and white-water rafting. ![]() |
