It has been officially announced that powerboat racing events will be held in Split for the next three years, providing
plenty of entertainment for people on Croatia sailing holidays.Powerboat P1 authorities announced that they had finalised a three-year contract with the city of Split to host the world's fastest-growing offshore racing series. The deal was signed by Robert Wicks, commercial director of Powerboat P1, and Tomislav Blago Misetic, the event's promoter in Croatia. Mr Wicks described Split, which is a highly popular destination among people taking Croatia sailing holidays, as "a wonderful city". He added: "The Croatian Grand Prix of the Sea will no doubt become a highlight on the P1 calendar in years to come." People planning Croatia sailing holidays and other breaks in the country in spring next year will be able to see the opening round of the Powerboat P1 World Championship in Split from April 16th to 18th. ![]() |
