Croatia sailing holidays should include a stop in Split, according to two regular sailors currently enjoying the delights
of the Adriatic coast.Amanda Church and Mark Farrell have been exploring the Mediterranean on a 47ft yacht and keeping a record of their journey in a blog on Sail-World.com. Ms Church writes that the pair spent two days in Split during their Adriatic cruise and "very much enjoyed it", particularly as it was Roman festival week. There were plenty of events and activities for the visitors to experience, including street theatre shows, old-fashioned markets and opera concerts. Ms Church and Mr Farrell continued their journey to another destination that travellers can visit on their own Croatia sailing holidays - Hvar. People who include Hvar on their Adriatic cruise itinerary were advised to pay a visit to the central town square, which is one of the largest in Croatia and is "overflowing with outdoor cafes and stalls", according to the bloggers. ![]() |
