| Thursday, 07 January 2010 13:12 |
Travellers taking Adriatic cruises this year should not miss the opportunity to see the Makarska Rivera, according to
the Croatian National Tourist Board. The organisation claims that the region is an unmissable part of the Adriatic coast for anyone who wants to "experience its charms in full". Makarska is the first stop on a Croatia sailing holiday route that begins in Split and also visits destinations such as Mljet, Dubrovnik and Hvar, all of which have unique sights to see and experiences to enjoy. As well as spending time on the seafront, tourists visiting Makarska were encouraged to take part in some of the cultural activities that are arranged in the city throughout the summer months. People on Croatia sailing holidays will be able toattend the Harmony Singing Festival, where vocal performances are accompanied by mandolins and guitars, or visit art exhibitions. There will also be a number of sporting events, including a swimming marathon. ![]() |
