A destination that travellers can visit during Croatia sailing holidays has been named as one of Europe's "hidden
travel gems".According to Forbes magazine, some of the best travel experiences across the continent are on offer at lesser-known locations, rather than high-profile hotspots such as Paris and Rome. The small town of Stari Grad on the island of Hvar is one of the oldest in Europe and is sometimes overlooked by tourists, Forbes revealed. People planning Croatia sailing holidays were urged to see the village to appreciate one of "the most delightful attractions on the continent". Speaking about people who do not visit Stari Grad, travel expert Michelle Finkelstein told the magazine: "Unfortunately they miss out on this quaint hamlet with cobblestone streets, 'gelaterias' and quirky art galleries." Hvar is one of many scenic islands that travellers can explore during Croatia sailing holidays, along with the likes of Korcula, Makarska and Vis. ![]() |
